日本画は、千数百年以来続く伝統を継承しつつ、その大きな土台のもと、異文化の影響も受けながら、その技法、表現方法、感性が時代とともに大いに変化し続けています。

そして、今、若い日本画家によって、さらに興味深い、新たな作品が次々と世に送り 出されています。

Art Space KAWASEMIは、若き日本画家・川瀬美帆の作品・活動を紹介するとともに、国内外に日本画の素晴らしさを発信していくこと、そして、文化芸術以外にも 産業、教育など、あらゆる異分野とのコラボレーションを通じ、新たな価値を創造し、心豊かに交流する場を提供していくことを目指しています。

An encounter with a single nihonga(Japanese-style painting) can suddenly bring about a slight nostalgia for a time past or is like a ray of light that illuminates the future. Nihonga is an inherited tradition that has lasted for more than a thousand years. At the same time, based on the foundation of this tradition, its techniques, methods of expression, and sensibilities have continued to change dramatically over time while also being influenced by different cultures. And now, young Japanese-style painters are creating and launching even more interesting new works one after another.

Art Space KAWASEMI introduces the works and activities of young Japanese-style painter, Miho Kawase. It aims to promote the excellence of nihonga both in Japan and abroad. It will provide a place for the creation of new values and the interaction that enriches people’s minds through collaboration with not only culture and art but also other fields including industry and education.
